After a two-decade slumber, BRODEQUIN return with Harbinger of Woe, a devastating new chapter in the band’s legacy of brutal death metal supremacy. Named after a medieval French torture device, BRODEQUIN originally emerged in 1998 and quickly claimed a fearsome crown for their merciless sound. Now, the Tennessee trio—Jamie Bailey (bass/vocals), Mike Bailey (guitar), and new drummer Brennan Shackelford—charge back to the front lines, wielding serrated riffs, relentless blasts, and bloodcurdling growls fierce enough to shred bone.

Leading single “Of Pillars and Trees” embodies BRODEQUIN’s signature brutality, where meat-grinder guitars collide with cymbal strikes fit to shatter steel. The album’s macabre atmosphere is further enhanced by its evocative cover art, “The Martyr of Fanaticism” by José de Brito (1895), which perfectly mirrors the record’s ominous tone. Recorded at Navarre 24 in Harriman, Tennessee, with drums tracked in Dallas, Texas, Harbinger of Woe was produced by Mike Bailey and meticulously mixed, mastered, and engineered by Josh Welman. After 20 years in the shadows, BRODEQUIN have reemerged to reclaim their throne—this time with more crushing force than ever before
